Troubleshooting

Here are some common causes of CyanoBot problems:

incompatible screen settings in Archlord, such as screen resolution, color depth, alias or gamma settings, running Archlord in windowed mode, may cause the bot to not recognize the Archlord screen. Follow the preparation instructions described in this chapter to set Archlord correctly.

Vista and Windows 7 administrative restrictions may prevent CyanoBot from communicating with Archlord due to UAC. Make sure to disable UAC. Additioally you must run the bot in XP compatibility mode when in Vista or Windows 7 (see image below) and Disable Desktop Composition in Windows 7.

external programs, such as 3rd-party desktop enhancers, messengers or anti-viruses that pop up overlapping windows and cover portions of the Archlord screen
multi-language keyboards or unusual keyboard layouts in some laptops may cause hot-keys not to work
incorrect positioning or timing setting for weapons and buffs in CyanoBot
on very slow computers, CyanoBot may overload your CPU and your Archlord may freeze. In terms of minimum hardware specifications recommended, as long as your computer is able to run Archlord at acceptable speed, it should be good enough for CyanoBot to run well. For maximum performance turn off as many other programs as possible while running Archlord and CyanoBot.
